چکیده
Phlorotannins are phenolic compounds existing in large amounts Phaeophyta, with this amount differing according to the season and collection area. There many pharmacological properties of phlorotannins, such as being antioxidant, antidiabetic, anti-cancer. In work, phlorotannins from Phaeophyta Sargassum linifolium were extracted, characterized, identified, for use an antioxidant anti-diabetic a streptozotocin-induced diabetes rat model. Phlorotanins characterized using ultraviolet (UV) Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) analysis, dimethoxy benzaldehyde assay (DMBA), Folin–Ciocalteu assays. Groups rats tested follows: normal control (negative control) (G1), treated 60 mg/kg body weight (G2), positive diabetic injected one dose streptozotocin (G3), group at mg kg−1 (G4). The biochemical parameters determined after 4 weeks treatment. results demonstrated that extracted compound was phlorotannin, which had properties. Antidiabetic Effect of Mallotus Philippinensis in Streptozotocin Induced Diabetic Rats
In the present work the antidiabetic activity of the Mallotus philippinensis was evaluated. The hydroethanolic bark extract showed significant increase in the levels of body weight, insulin and significant decrease in blood glucose, and glycosylated haemoglobin when administered orally for 30 days to STZ induced diabetic rats at a dose of 200 and 400mg/kg body weight. Phytochemical studies also...

The antioxidant effect of an aqueous extract of Phaseolus vulgaris pods, an indigenous plant used in Ayurvedic medicine in India, was studied in rats with streptozotocin-induced diabetes. Oral administration of Phaseolus vulgaris pod extract (PPEt; 200 mg/kg body weight) for 45 days resulted in a significant reduction in thiobarbituric acid reactive substances and hydroperoxides. The extract al...

Stephania hernandifolia (Menispermaceae) is a medicinal plant, used by herbalists for treating various diseases, one of which is diabetes mellitus, in Darjeeling. However, its antidiabetic activity has not been scientifically investigated so far. The aim of this study, therefore, is to investigate the antidiabetic and antioxidant potential of the powdered corm of Stephania hernandifolia. This w...
متن کاملAntidiabetic and Antioxidant Properties of Triticum aestivum in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats
The antidiabetic and antioxidant potential of Triticum aestivum were evaluated by using in vivo methods in normal and streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Diabetes was induced in the Wistar strain albino rats by injecting streptozotocin at a dose of 55 mg/kg body weight. Ethanolic extracts of Triticum aestivum at doses of 100 mg/kg body weight were administered orally for 30 days. Various para...
متن کاملComputation of In Vivo Antidiabetic Activity of Holarrhena Antidysenterica Seeds Extracts in Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Rats
Medicinal plants have curative properties due to the presence of various complex chemical compositions, which are found as secondary plant metabolites in one or more parts of the plant. The aim of this study was to compute the antidiabetic activity of Holarrhena antidysenterica seeds extract in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. The experimental protocol designed as animals were divided i...
